Union Jack Cushion and Bunting.

Getting into the spirit of the queens jubilee this year so I designed this cushion and bunting combination, just a bit of fun.

if you look closely you will see that the red fabric is actually Alice in wonderland fabric which i just love!

I have simplified the union jack a little just to stop the confusion when sewing so it works for beginners too.
the bunting is a quick and must addition to the design, we all need a bit of bunting in our lives don't we!!
this kit comes with all you need to complete the project including all fabrics, zip, wadding, bias binding, full written and photo instructions and is available from my Etsy shop, or message me.

The Hobby Bag

The Hobby Bag

I designed this bag a few years ago, its a very popular kit, and the reason for so many fabric changes.

Its the perfect size for on the go project bag, I have quite a few of these bags hanging around lol, with projects in waiting to be picked up and just taken on an outing, a crochet project to meet the crochet girls for lunch out and couple of hours crochet after in our favourite cafe.
One has all my sewing threads in, another has an applique quilt project in
people have used them as make up bags and baby bags, whatever you want it to be for.

and now its in the hedgehog fabrics, love it

Pocket Pouch Tool Bag

I love a new design and this one has kept me busy over the last couple of weeks,

The kit is available here

and has everything you need to complete the project including all the wadding and interfacing, nothing annoys me more than getting a kit then have the wadding or something else missing to hold up play lol

This bag opens up flap and has two zipped pockets sewn into the inside of the outer bag, it then has 4 flip zipped pockets, so plenty of room to hold all sorts of wonderful things, great for any hobby, cross stitch, crochet, sewing, kids crafts, makeup jewellery .....the list goes on.

it comes with all you need to make plus written and photo instructions, plus if you need me to advise just get in touch.

February 2022
Christmas 2021 is done and gone thank goodness, January 2022 is done and gone thank goodness,
not much to say about January, depression, as always, not much sewing!

I find it hard in the dark months of the new year to do much at all apart from wish them away, the bag which I love was made during December then the machine was put away for the holidays and didn't come out again until last week, 20the January when I made these notebooks, one for an order, that made me get the machine out!! and lovely project broke the  no sew time!!
love making these notebooks and just ending up where I end up.

I did then go on to make a new design bag which I will post about separately.
for now I am in countdown for the retreat, moved and moved again to February 19th, 18 days and counting, think I like it this time of year, something to look forward to and get me through the dark days of these couple of months!!
bring it on!!

Another couple of remakes in new fabrics,

the hobby bag and the medium drawstring tote, both popular bags that i have had to remake with new fabrics.

the hobby bag is a great size for the smaller craft project, or for a take out bag.

i use mine for all my sewing threads, so when i go out i just pick it up and go.

Lets Sew It

this gorgeous little drawstring tote, i just love this one,  can be used as a hand bag, a lunch bag, its great for whatever you need, just love it, this also comes in a ballerina fabric for the little girls.

Popper pockets

just love these, great for when you are out and about crafting, not just sewing but for your crocket, wool, anything, just open up and fold down , then when your done just turn back up and popper them shut.

this kit and others available here Lets Sew It

i've used bosal wadding so they are nice and firm to stand up on their own even when empty and this is a linen rayon mix of fabric which also adds to the sturdy ness of them.

Kiddies Drawstring bag

Just love the spotty fabrics and they go so well with so many others,
the robot and the Dino ones too,
a couple of quick makes here and great bags for all sorts of things, an overnight bag for a trip to grandmas, toys, secret stash, washing !

with 2  pull strings so it closes nicely and doesn't work itself open again.
there is a kit available for these with full instructions.

Weekender Bag

well of the style of the weekender bag, a design i am working on and my first run,so some alterations to be made to the design but very happy with it so far and loving the fabric.

keep your eye out for the kit and pattern coming soon.

Cross Body Bag

I have had the cork waiting in the workshop for some time and knew that i wanted the spot fabric to go with it, teamed up with the red lining it makes a gorgeous bag.

with simple to adjust strap as it is jut tied onto the side loops.

just need somewhere to go to use it now lol

kit and pattern available in my Etsy shop, find it here Cross Body Bag kit

Kids Sewing Workshop

I Recently did a kids sewing workshop, 10 kids over 2 days

our projects were an apron (that i cant find a picture of for some reason) a draw string bag , an ipad cover and a couple of fabric bowls, well they blew those out of the water and a couple of the girls then went on to designing their own projects.
a fab 2 days and all went away wanting sewing machines at home, wonder what will be on their christmas lists this year!

Sewing Machine mats

I decided i wanted to freshen up the sewing cabin so have made some new sewing machine mats, 3 so far and 1 more to do so that when i finish the alterations to the cabin and we can fit 3 sewers in we all have a mat for our machines.

just a simple design and not big mats with limited space i just wanted them under the machines so that cutting mats can be next to each machine.

mmm just reminded me i need to get some new table cloths!
